Lois Dorrell's masterpiece reversible

After completing my Lora sampler I can truly appreciate anyone else's finish. But when I saw Lois Dorrell's reversible, double-sided finish I was awestruck. It was a major challenge to complete the sampler just one-sided but to take on the reversible version to me took guts. Here are some wonderful pictures of her masterpiece. You can also visit her blog here. Lois Dorrell . I hope everyone that wants to complete this piece does so. You and your family will admire it forever.

Front view on her lovely easel display.

Back view.  What a wonderful easel.

Close up of frame.

Her signature line.

Front and back. How wonderful. Can't tell the difference. What superb stitching

close up of her Standish stitch. Just perfect.

Thank you Lois for sharing your wonderful finish.

Band 24

I figured Loara deserves credit for this wonderful sampler so I  added her name here.

I kept the original saying the same..

I figured I deserve credit for stitching it so I added my name here.

Thought it was neat to get this finished on 12-12-12

Band 23 Long Arm Cross

Same as row 21 but in Dark Tan

Band 22 on hold

Putting this band on hold until I decide how I'm going to add her name and my own.

Band 21 completed

Band 21

The chart doesn't show it ending even with the prior row but the original does so I ended my run even also.

Band 21 Long Arm Cross note

The instructions they give are unlike any Long Arm Cross I've ever done. So
I just used the old fashioned way like this picture. You can also go to Victoria Sampler
And use her stitch animation tool.

Band 20 completed

This is mostly cross stitch. A pleasant break from the running stitch. Best to use colour photos to confirm colour use plus use the detail diagram to mark off symbols as they are completed.

Band 19 close up

The instructions for this stitch in the kit is actually for the montenegrin stitch
but I used the actual long arm stitch pattern which omits the horizontal bar. Victoria Sampler  has
a link to view stitch animations.
