Lora's Gravesight

Loara Standish died before her father Myles. He made a formal request in his will, written in March of 1655/56, to be buried beside her:

Loara Standish died before her father Myles. He made a formal request in his will, written in March of 1655/56, to be buried beside her:

Note: only daughter of Capt. Myles Standish, buried on one side of him. She died at about 17 yrs. old, near the same time as her sister-in-law, Mary Dingley Standish. Lora is the maker of the oldest, most famous piece of crosstitchery existing in America.
